The Bamboo Lodge is build on a former Sugar factory terrain and is situated on a 5 minute bicycle trip from the vibrant city center of Groningen.
Next to being a B&B It is the perfect place for business meetings, company and private functions, weddings, mini festivals, birthday parties, seminars, retraites and workshops.

We felt very good in the jungle and very much at peace. It was romantically lit during the night, too. The idea of an oasis within the city is great and we already told a bunch of friends about it. It is not a hotel-hotel, but a charming location - different, nice, mind-opening. Large kitchen and lounge with sofas

Magical witch lodge
The Witch lodge was the strangest I've ever seen and a bit creepy with all the decorations, I enjoyed it a lot! The bed was comfortable. It was very private, super green with it's bamboo paths. You could see the stars in the night and ducks were running around during the day! It was magical place with friendly beautiful ppl.
Bamboo lodge was my lodging for one night on a cycling trip. I felt charmed by the obvious creativity at work in the place, including repurposed materials and the unique decor of each individual cabin. It's also clear that they are still carrying out the vision for the space. The in-progress projects didn't bother me because they didn't disturb my rest or use of the community spaces, but if you are looking for a 'polished' experience you may be better off with a more typical hotel.
Bathrooms worked well, plenty of hot water in the shower, and I really loved my room with macrame themed decor. The soft bed was quite comfortable and the naturally cooler temperatures meant that I slept better here than anywhere else I stayed. The communal lounge space is well set up and the kitchen has everything you might need to cook for yourself.
The Bamboo Lodge is an awesome little urban oasis in Groningen. For a moment you forgot you are in the city. While enjoying the summer evening on my private terrace all kinds of animals came to visit:) shower and toilet are not far away and the design does not "break character", everything is made of wood and you feel like an urban cowboy even in the shower:)
